Who is ringing in the New Year with you? Who do you wish could be with you, but isn't there?
Ah what a hateful question. Very cliché.
But hey, can't resist replying.
Mr F, we will celebrate our new year together in our own time, when the time has come.
I miss you.
And Radica and JJ, I wish I could have a some bubbles with you, watching the fireworks over the Harbour Bridge.
And Sana in Vancouver, enjoy being together with your beautiful family and friends.
Have a good one everybody. Am very curious about 2008.
Which person from your past, who you've lost touch with, do you wonder about the most?

Definitely Jodey. The girl from Brisbane, Australia that I met in the Bauhaus long long time ago. She was the person who made me understand what friendship is all about. Thanks to her I become very good friends with a lot of women. Before, I used to be 'one of the boys', but she showed me how great it is to have female friends.
She inspired me, made me laugh, respected other people's opinions and views.
I have an old emailaddress of hers but it does not work anymore. I can not find her on Facebook either, but she is always in my memories and thoughts. And I know we will meet up again someday.
It's dedication time. What song are you sending out, and who is it dedicated to?
Harrowdown Hill - Thom Yorke.
Love that song.Especially these words:
I'm coming home
I'm coming home
To make it all right
So dry your eyesWe think the same things at the same time
We just cant do anything about itJust change that last sentence to 'We just cant do anything about it...yet but we will'
This one goes out to mr F. Hope you find your home soon.

When has your first impression of someone turned out to be completely wrong?

More than 18 years ago, when I met my now still best friend Petra.
My boyfriend at the time introduced her to me. I thought she was one of his many groupies, he's a musician and he sometimes had a weird taste in female friends to put it mildly. Very mildly. I'm sure his current girlfriend will agree with me, sorry Fozzy :-)
And I wasn't really that nice to Petra ;-) Then I found out she was one of my friend's new girlfriend and not a groupie at all.
We became best friends, even were roommates for a few years.
Thank god for second impressions and second chances! So, you do get second chances, and third, and fourth... Never too late to make up for something or make a good impression!
Which friend or acquaintance most influenced your taste in music?

Must have been Carlo aka Fozzy. He was/still is a bassplayer in so many different bands. This way I got to appreciate many different styles.
I must have seen him perform over 400 blues gigs! Stevie Ray Vaughan has no more secrets for me! ;-)
I loved those gigs most of the times, but after hearing a certain very patriotic US blues guitarist/singer sing for the 100 th time: One, two, you know what to do...' I kinda had it with him. Or maybe it was the 'Go USA, go USA' slogan he shouted every now and then for no particular reason that did it ;-)
Then there was the Canadian episode of course, an eclectic mix of blues and rock... how many times did I see them perform? Chris McHardy and band! Thanks to Chris and Lisa I started travelling and discovering the world.
Aaah music! Our pride and joy! What would we be without music?
